Sharing the life saving gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a job for the clergy, or for brave people like John and Elaine who take off to the Congo each year.  It is not just for the rich or the eloquent of speech, or the person who feels called by God to a specific ministry.  Sharing the Gospel is for us all. We all have neighbours, friends and family who do not know the Lord yet.

I have often thought how horrible it would be, to be confronted by a friend or relative who didn’t make it to the kingdom of God who asks us “why didn't you share the gospel with me?” A scary thought, isn’t it?

The reality is that most people don’t want to hear the gospel from some stranger whom they barely know.  People would rather hear from someone who already has their respect and in whom they can more easily trust to have their best interests in mind.

Go then, and do just what Christ commanded when he said, “love your neighbour”.
