Security in the Storm

As one in deep trouble, misunderstood by his friends, Job prefigured Jesus in deep trouble and misunderstood by his friends. However, while Job, in his day, lacked the understanding and revelation that was necessary to overcome the adversity, Jesus certainly did not, despite His infinitely more cosmic adversity. In us, as witnessed by Paul, Jesus now enables us to face the tragic reality of life in a fallen world, in the final days, and to likewise overcome in the midst of deep trouble as we pursue Him and seek to embrace the responsibility of our stewardship for His glory.
