Behold, I Make a Covenant

After the covenant that the Lord made with Israel at Mt. Sinai was broken, and there was a measure of reconciliation wrought through the intercessions of Moses and some contrition among the people, the Lord moves to ultimately bring in the New Covenant in Christ. At Sinai we see it in type as Moses goes up the mountain a second time and returns having seen the glory of God in measure, and having received the model of the temporary dwelling place of the glory of God among Israel, namely the tent and all its furnishings.
