Longsuffering Mercy in Judgement

The opposition of Pharaoh against Israel is essentially the opposition of the gods of Egypt against the eternal Son of God. We see as we consider Yahweh's longsuffering wrestling with Pharaoh, the manifestation of the gracious and merciful Name of Yahweh as He stands for His Son, and we are instructed in our own lives that the same gracious and merciful Name aims for our own deliverance from every form of slavery to the god of this world and his hosts.
