Paul's Anguish I

Date Sermon was Delivered: 30 November, 2025

Speaker: Phil Briggs

Following Israel's rejection and crucifixion of their Messiah, Paul grieves deeply for the tragic failure of so many of his countrymen. This anguish of the apostle is seen in type in Moses following the tragic failure of Israel in their soon-rebellion against Yahweh following the making of the covenant at Sinai. This covenant is itself actually the new covenant in Christ, in type. In both cases the failure of those who rebel involves their final destruction.
