Life That Has The Mastery of Death

The death of Lazarus, and his resuscitation, all under the sovereign government of the triune God, led directly to Jesus' crucifixion by the combined machinations of the Jewish authorities and the Roman Imperial governor. This in turn, according to Jesus' prophetic word at the news of the sickness of Lazarus, led to the glory of God, and the glorifying of His Son. In all this the Lord Jesus, as the "resurrection and the life", was messianically manifest. Now we, in Him, enjoy the same ascendancy over death by virtue of His indwelling, and we live for the manifestation of that same life that has the mastery of death,
